News Sign Going Up for Pana McDonald’s

A WORKER IS hoisted high in the air as the original sign marking the location of Pana’s McDonald’s from 1984 is taken down to be replaced by a new, modern McDonald’s sign today, Monday, July 19.

Manager Kirk Woods of the Pana McDonald’s says the sign’s pedestal is 50-feet in the air and the sign is close to 20-feet tall. It is a new design in which LED lights are used. No bulbs are in the sign. It is energy efficient, and the energy savings will pay for the sign in three years, Woods said.

The new sign should be ready to go by this evening.
