Andrea Lynn Beyers of Chatham and Brandon Epler Stribling of Ashland, announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

Andrea is the daughter of Steve and Denise Beyers of Oconee. Grandparents are Harley and Gertrude Beyers, Oconee and the late Marvin and Catherine Sims, Pana. She is a 2001 graduate of Pana High School and 2005/2009 graduate of SIUE with a BSN, MSN. She is a family nurse practitioner at Koke Mill Medical Center, Springfield.

Brandon is the son of Shawn and Beverly Stribling of Ashland. Grandparents are Shirley Krall of Cerro Gordo and the late Marlin Krall, Joan Stribling and L.E. Stribling, Ashland. He is a 2009 graduate of A-C Central High School and 2013 graduate of Western Illinois University with a degree in Agriculture Business and is engaged in farming.

The ceremony will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, Aug. 14, at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, Chatham. A reception will be held at 6:30 p.m., at the Hilton, downtown Springfield.

Alex is employed with IHI Turbo America, Shelbyville as a lead operator.

Ericka is the granddaughter of Linda Schoonover and the great-granddaughter of Denise Hayes, Pana, and Darrel and Patricia Bumgardner, Oconee.

Alex is the grandson of Helen Dionne and the late William Dionne of Pana and William Barbieri, Granite City and the late Joseph Barbieri and the late Orville Crawford.

An Aug. 1, 2015, wedding is being planned in St. Patrick Church, Pana.

Haley is the granddaughter of Ida Bland and Madge Morrison, both of Pana, and the late Clarence Bland and the late William Morrison.

Nichole is the daughter of Tony and Brenda Wallace of Tower Hill. She is a 2007 graduate of Pana High School and 2011 graduate of St. John’s College of Nursing with a bachelor of science in nursing. She is employed at St. John’s Hospital intensive care unit and is pursuing a master’s degree in family nurse practioning at SIUE.

Eric, son of Terry and Jane McMillen, Pana, is a 2007 graduate of Pana High School and 2011 graduate of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale with a bachelor degree in Technical Resource management. He is employed with McMillen Builders.

The wedding will take place on Saturday, Jan. 3, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Pana. A reception will be held at Oak Terrace.

Nathaniel is the son of Craig and Shelly Kirby and Dean Ridgway. He is a 2008 graduate of Lake Land College and 2013 graduate of McLean County Area EMS. He is a licensed paramedic with Pana Ambulance Service.

She graduated cum laude from Mid-America Nazarene University and is a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University’s marriage and family therapy program. She is an individual and family counselor in private practice in Nashville, Tennessee.

Christopher graduated summa cum laude from Middle Tennessee State University and cum laude from the University of Tennessee College of Law. He is an attorney for the Tennessee Department of Health.

A September wedding is planned in Nashville. Rev. Smith will officiate. A reception will follow.

Brett is the son of Elsie Stewardson and Don and Martha Stewardson of Pana. He is a 2003 graduate of Pana High School and is currently attending ITT Tech in Springfield. He is also employed at Pizza Man.

Joe and Cindy Schmitz of Pana are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jillian Schmitz, to Derek Sloan, son of Rod and Christina Sloan of Pana.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Pana High School and earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and English from Illinois Wesleyan University and graduated from the University of Illinois College of Law, where she earned her juris doctorate. This fall, she will begin employment as a criminal prosecutor with the Sangamon County State’s Attorney’s Office.

The groom-to-be is also a graduate of Pana High School and earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Illinois College. Derek is currently employed with Sloan Implement where he works in the Ag Management Solutions department.

The couple is planning a wedding on Aug. 23, 2014, in Springfield.  The couple will be making their home in Rochester.
